the Easier Man

There is a version of me that lives in other people's mouths, in their minds, or in whatever story helps them save themselves. He is simpler than I am, meaner sometimes, more careless, easier to dislike. He does not pause or think before speaking. He talks too much, or not enough, depending on what the story requires.
