Gistvox is currently in its initial launch phase. During this period, you may encounter occasional bugs, incomplete features, or temporary performance issues as we continue to improve the platform.

We are actively monitoring feedback and working to resolve issues quickly. Updates will be released regularly to enhance stability, performance, and overall user experience.

2. Age & Eligibility Requirements

To comply with global app store requirements, you must meet the following age limits:

• Global default: 13 years or older.
• European Union (GDPR regions): 16 years or older unless parental consent is provided.
• Other regions: Local legal minimum for digital consent applies.

Note: Gistvox is rated 12+ globally. It may contain mild suggestive content, infrequent profanity, or mature themes in user-generated content.

If you are under 18, parental or legal guardian consent is required to create an account.

By using Gistvox, you confirm:

• You meet your country's minimum legal age requirement.
• You have the legal right to agree to these Terms.
• You will comply with all applicable local and international laws.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login details secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

Gistvox may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies or harm the community.

4. Usernames and Handles

Usernames ("handles") are provided by Gistvox under a limited, revocable license and remain the property of Gistvox.

• No Ownership Rights: Usernames are not personal property and may be reclaimed or reassigned at our discretion.
• Acceptable Use: Usernames must not impersonate others, infringe on trademarks, or include offensive or misleading terms.
• Reserved Names: Certain usernames are permanently reserved for brands, partners, and public figures.
• Inactive Accounts: Usernames tied to accounts inactive for 12 months or more may be released.
• No Transfers: Selling or transferring usernames is prohibited.
• Disputes: If multiple parties claim a username, Gistvox will decide based on trademark rights, verification, and good-faith use. Our decision is final.

5. Ownership of Your Content

When you record and post a Gist:

• You retain full copyright ownership of the content you create.
• By posting, you grant Gistvox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, host, transmit, and display your content according to your selected privacy settings.
• You may delete your Gists at any time. Backups may persist temporarily for technical and legal compliance reasons.

6. Prohibited Content & Conduct

To maintain a safe, welcoming environment, you may not post or engage in:

• Hate speech, harassment, or threats.
• Content infringing on intellectual property rights.
• Illegal activity or promotion of illegal activity.
• Spam, scams, or deceptive practices.
• Attempts to hack, disrupt, or exploit the platform.

Moderation Tools: Gistvox provides reporting features for inappropriate content. Repeat or severe violations may result in account removal.

7. Advertising & Future Monetization

Currently: Gistvox does not display third-party ads.

Future updates may include:

• Clearly labeled advertising.
• Sponsored audio content or creator monetization tools.
• Optional subscriptions for enhanced features or ad-free listening.

We will never sell your personal data to advertisers.

8. Payments & Fees

Future releases may include paid features like subscriptions or creator payouts. All fees will be disclosed before purchase and processed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store systems, including applicable taxes.

To operate the app, we may collect:

• Account Information: Name, username, email, and profile details.
• Audio Content: Voice recordings (Gists) and associated metadata like tags or timestamps.
• Usage Data: Interaction patterns, device type, and approximate location (if you enable location services).

We do not collect precise location data without explicit permission.
